DISTRICT DEPUTY GRAND MASTER’S OFFICIAL VISIT TO J.F. SWARTSEL

Great turnout at Lodge to hear the Grand Master’s message and listen to the District Committeemen’s messages. We also want to congratulate the Brothers from A W Windhorst for coming to Lodge to retrieve the Traveling Gavel.

GRAND MASTER OF MASONS OF FLORIDA – OFFICIAL VISIT TO DISTRICTS 19 & 20

Great showing from the two districts. There were over 300 people in attendance! Swartsel had a good showing. We presented the GM and the First Lady with donations to their respective charities.

VISIT TO AW WINDHORST

What a great night of fellowship at AW Windhorst Lodge No. 185! We had a great turn out and the Brothers of Windhorst were very welcoming. It was not our normal monthly visit to another  Lodge. They had the Traveling Gavel and we wanted it. They were even nice enough to trow in a tie for our Worshipful Master. Yes, it was of the many ties Windhorst has won over the past sevveral months at Masters and Wardens. Make no mistake Worshipful Master Greif still wants to win one and break Windhorst’s streak at Masters and Wardens.

CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR NEWEST MEMBERS

We had a great turnout last night for our EA degree! Everyone did a great job and we all had fun!

A NEW TRADITION

Brothers to make attendance at M&W a little more bearable, we have started going out afterward for a continuance of fellowship, apps and drinks. We have had a great time the last two months! I hope this entices you to Join us on the 4th Friday of the month. EAs and FCs are welcome.

CONGRATULATIONS TO R:. W:. DON COWART

R:. W:. Cowart received his 40 service award from M:. W:. Richard Hoover last night at Brandon Lodge. There were around 175 Master Masons in attendance! After 40 years of service, R:. W:. Cowart is as passionate today as he was 40 years ago. We look forward to seeing where that passion takes him.

CLOSE BUT NO TRAVELING GAVEL

We had 9 Brothers in attendance at Brandon Lodge last night for R:. W:. Cowart’s celebration but sadly it was not enough. A W Windhorst Lodge showed up with 14 Brothers. We’ll get them next time!

3-07-18 OFFICER’S MEETING

Good officer’s meeting tonight. All committees had something to report. Progress is being made and tracked.

3-1-18 STATED MEETING – YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IS GOING TO SHOW UP!

We had a very pleasant surprise last night. We had a visit from R:. W:. Tommy Turlington, Junior Grand Warden of the Grand Lodge of Florida. Other special guests were R:. W:. Jeff Foster, R:. W:. Rob Lambert, R:. W:. Tony Chavez, R:. W:. Larry Lee, W:. M:. Fernando Rosado and proudly representing the 19th Masonic district R:.W:. Charles Osborne and R:. H:. Tony De Angelo. WOW!, that is a lot of fire power Brothers. We had a great turn out from the Brothers of Swartsel and we did ourselves proud with our work. We got to know R:. W:. Jeff Foster, who is running for the Grand South, a little better and R:. W:. Turlington gave some inspirational words. It was a great night to be a Mason in Florida last night!
