The Boy Scouts at the Lodge

J.F. Swartsel was honored to host the Boy Scouts tonight.  The young men and their families enjoyed a night of celebration for all their hard work.  Below are two pictures from the Troop 12 Court of Honor.

Fish Fry Friday

Fish Fry FridayEvery third Friday the lodge offers a Fish Fry which is open to the public.  We start serving at 5:00 and don’t end until 8:00.  On most of our Fish Fry’s we serve hundreds of meals.

Not only is the food great, people often comment on how much fun they have visiting the lodge and meeting neighbors and new people.  So it’s a combination of having a meal and sharing some fellowship with other local people.

Even if you don’t want to eat at the lodge, you can get a meal to go.  People from the surrounding area stop by to eat in or to take home meals for the family.  The choice is yours, the food is great either way!

Feel free to stop by the lodge on any third Friday of the month and join us.

We look forward to meeting you and feeding you!

Our First Valentines Day Car Show

On February 14th this year, the lodge held it’s first annual Car Show.  Here are a few pictures from the set up.

Car Show 2 Car Show 1 Car Show 3

The event started at noon as was free to attend.  The lodge did offer a delicious chicken lunch for a small donation of $10.00.  Between the cars and the lunch we were able to draw crowds over 100 people at a time.  The parking lot, the grounds and the lodge dining room were jam packed.

Overall it was a great event!
