About J. F. SWARTSEL LODGE NO. 251 F.& A.M.

J. F. Swartsel Lodge is located in Lutz, Florida just 10 minutes North of Tampa near the Pasco County line. Our lodge is known throughout Florida as the “Friendly Lodge”, because at one time our members were mostly farmers and cattlemen. So, if you visited the lodge back then, chances are you would see folks in their working attire. Bib overalls, jeans and boots were the work clothes of choice. Lodge fashion may have changed in the past 85 years, (not many farmers or ranchers around these days), but we’re still the “friendly lodge”, and we hold the “W:. Donald E. Belcher” Farmers Degree in the Fall each Year in October so everyone can dress up in farmers’ clothes to have a little fun and commemorate a time when things were much simpler. We hope you like what you see here and will visit our lodge when you’re in the area. If you are considering becoming a Mason, drop by our Lodge on any scheduled meeting night, pick up an application and have dinner with our Brothers. We welcome your presence, and are happy to answer any questions you may have about Freemasonry.
